An Interpositional Elastomeric Cap for Metacarpophalangeal Joint Perichondrioplasty in Rheumatoid Arthritis

A new interpositional elastomeric cap was developed and used for perichondrioplasty in six rheumatoid metacarpophalangeal joints. Adequate cartilage formation occurred, and the joint contours were more normal than those achieved by previous methods.
