Vitamin D deficiency and systemic inflammation in hidradenitis suppurativa: clinical correlates in a retrospective cohort

British Journal of Dermatology | April 30, 2026 | Volume: 195 | Issue: 2 | Pages: 339-341

Vitamin D deficiency is frequently reported in hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), but its clinical significance remains unclear. Vitamin D deficiency was independently associated with elevated C-reactive protein, suggesting a link with systemic inflammation.
