Identification of novel mutational drivers reveals oncogene dependencies in multiple myeloma

Blood | June 8, 2018 | Volume: 132 | Issue: 6 | Pages: 587-597

10.1182/blood-2018-03-840132 | PMID 29884741

Key Points Using the largest set of patients with newly diagnosed myeloma, we identified 63 mutated driver genes. We identified oncogenic dependencies, particularly relating to primary translocations, indicating a nonrandom accumulation of genetic hits.
Final analysis of survival outcomes in the phase 3 FIRST trial of up-front treatment for multiple myeloma

Blood | November 17, 2017 | Volume: 131 | Issue: 3 | Pages: 301-310

10.1182/blood-2017-07-795047 | PMID 29150421

Key Points Rd continuous significantly extended OS compared with MPT and resulted in comparable OS to that with Rd18 in patients with multiple myeloma. Patients achieving complete or very good partial response with Rd benefited greatly from continuous vs fixed treatment in terms of PFS.
